Corinthian capital from ancient Rome

Marble Corinthian capital from Subiaco, Neronian period. The town of Subiaco takes its name from the Latin Sublaqueum which means "under the lake". It's a reference to the artificial lakes of the villa that emperor Nero built along the right bank of the Aniene River.
