Pantheon dome center oculus
The Pantheon of Rome, built by Emperor Hadrian between 118 and 126 AD, features the largest unreinforced concrete dome in the world. It ranges from 21 ft (6.4 metres) thick at the base to 3.9 ft (1.2 metres) at the oculus and supports 4,999 tons (4,535 metric) of weight. Compartments hidden within the dome form a honeycomb structure to reduce weight.
